How love transforms into precious gemstones The MEVISTO gemstone manufactory has managed with tireless devotion to shape gemstones that are scientifically proven to be of special value. In close cooperation with renowned universities, this unique process of creating gemstones has been developed over years.
From the precious remains of 50 grams of ash or 10 grams of hair, a treasure in the form of an individual ruby or sapphire is created. After about 30 days of loving handiwork, or even 50 days for jewelry pieces, this precious gemstone finally leaves our manufactory. Scientifically confirmed.
The manufacturing process of our MEVISTO rubies and sapphires is unmatched in uniqueness worldwide. Every step is carried out with the highest precision, and the processes are ISO-certified. It's not only proven that the essence of life is immortalized in the ruby or sapphire, but also that each of these gemstones tells its very own, unique story.
No two stones are alike.
1. The Chemical Process
In the first step, we dedicate our utmost care to the biogenic material which carries a very special significance. The process of artificial gemstone creation spans approximately two full workweeks.
During this time, precious elements are carefully extracted from the individual biogenic material, whether it be ash or hair.
Each of these elements is unique, just like the life that once shaped it. They vary from person to person or from animal to animal and represent the unique composition of each being. After completing this step, these elements are prepared to grow a crystal from them.
2. The Birth of a Gemstone
In our special ovens, a truly magical process unfolds at temperatures around 2000°C. Here, the previously lovingly extracted elements are integrated into the lattice structure of the gemstone. Thanks to our manufacturing process, we can monitor the growth of the gemstone at any time.
The entire growth process, depending on the size of the gemstone, lasts between 1 to 2 days. It is a fascinating spectacle that makes the creation of each gemstone an unforgettable experience.
3. The Cut
Now, the still raw, personalized crystal receives its final shape. Our experienced gem cutters breathe the last measure of perfection into the personalized gemstone according to individual wishes. We place great emphasis on ensuring the highest quality under fair conditions. For this reason, the cutting of our gemstones is exclusively done in Austria.
This not only allows the confirmation of quality by our jewelers but also the implementation of individual customer concerns. The incorporation of unique cuts or the integration of a MEVISTO gemstone into existing jewelry pieces gives our gemstones a very personal touch.
Our gem cutters examine the crystal through a magnifying glass up to 600-700 times, until it is completely cut and polished. Depending on the size and complexity of the cut, we also need 1-2 working days for this.
4. The Completion in Jewelry
Thanks to our close cooperation with selected goldsmiths, our customers can expect a diverse selection of jewelry pieces. In addition to our own, exclusively designed creations made from high-quality 18-carat gold, we also have the ability to have individual jewelry pieces made according to our customers' wishes.
Whether it's about a unique design or the use of various materials – we do everything possible to meet all customer concerns to the best of our ability.
5. Our Quality Promise
We are proud that our gemstones are made 100% in Austria. This commitment to craftsmanship precision and highest quality is reflected in the outstanding condition of our gemstones, which has already been confirmed several times by independent jewelers.
Every gemstone that leaves our unique manufactory undergoes a thorough quality control. Only after this step is the gemstone released, carefully sealed, meticulously packaged, and sent to our customers.
6. ISO-9001 Certification
Upon the reception of the biogenic material, a unique ISO code is assigned to it. This code is checked at every subsequent production step and then engraved into the gemstone. This engraving is only visible with the help of a magnifying glass.
With the handover of the gemstone, you receive an official MEVISTO certificate that shows the enlarged ISO code of the gemstone. Additionally, every gemstone we produce has a unique chemical fingerprint that allows MEVISTO gemstones to be distinctly identified from others.
7. Scientific Validation
The fact that various elements from a human or animal can be detected in our personalized gemstone is unique worldwide and is confirmed by scientific certificates from various universities.
